Patrick Benard Ekodere is a senior livestock sector professional with extensive experience in designing, advising, and managing livestock enterprises and development programmes across Eastern Africa and the Horn of Africa. His work integrates animal production, animal health, agribusiness, environmental sustainability, and market systems in line with One Health principles.

He holds an MBA in Strategic Management alongside academic training in animal health, nutrition, and rural development. Patrick has supported farmers, pastoralists, investors, and institutions to develop inclusive, commercially viable livestock models that balance productivity, animal health, environmental stewardship, and market requirements.

Patrick has served in senior advisory and leadership roles with institutions including the World Bank–supported DRIVE HOA Project, USAID-funded EAMS Program, Northern Rangelands Trust and NRT Trading, the Dutch Development Organisation SNV, Kenya Meat Commission, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development. His experience spans policy advisory, enterprise incubation, value chain commercialisation, and multidisciplinary programme management.
